Hampta Circle Trek – A Scenic Escape in the Himalayas

$880 per person

The Hampta Circle trek is a beautiful and lesser-known trail nestled in the Pir Panjal range of Himachal Pradesh, India. Located close to the more famous Hampta Pass route, this offbeat circular trek is perfect for beginners, nature lovers, and families seeking a short yet immersive Himalayan adventure.

Starting from Sethan or Jobra (just outside Manali), the trail winds through dense deodar and pine forests, open meadows, and glacial streams. The route offers panoramic views of the Kullu and Lahaul valleys, as well as majestic peaks like Deo Tibba and the Manalsu range.

At a maximum altitude of 3,800 meters (approx. 12,500 feet), Hampta Circle is significantly easier than the Hampta Pass trek but equally stunning. The journey typically takes 2–3 days (or up to 5 days for a relaxed pace), making it ideal for weekend getaways or as an acclimatization trek before attempting higher Himalayan passes.

The region is home to vibrant alpine flora, and trekkers may spot Himalayan wildlife in the quieter stretches. Best visited from May to October, the Hampta Circle trek offers a serene camping experience under starry skies — far from the crowds.
